Before you start
- Over tightening could cause breakage.
- Internal type fuel pump switch must be wired correctly.
Procedure
- Remove the idle adjusting screw from the fuel pump and replace it with the throttle switch.
- Adjust according to Caterpillar specifications and tighten the locknut to 5 lb.ft. (7 N.m).
- Connect the red wire from the Hi, Lo, Off switch to the silver coloured (Diode) terminal.
