Before you start
- Crushing Hazard. Connect the steering frame lock between front and rear frames before servicing the machine in the articulation area.
- Do not disconnect any hydraulic lines from the metering pump.
Procedure
- Remove five bolts and the panel from each side of the machine.
- Support the metering pump. Do not loosen the hose couplings.
- Loosen the four bolts that hold the pump.
- Lower the pump in order to expose the splines.
- Clean the male splines on the steering column. Clean the female splines in the pump.
- Apply proper grease to the splines.
- Push the pump into position.
- Tighten the four bolts that hold the pump.
- Test the steering system.
