Before you start

  • Keep all parts clean from contaminants.
  • Check the condition of all components. Replace any worn or damaged components with new parts.
  • Do not reuse the O-ring seals on the rocker arm adjustment screws if the buttons have been removed from the adjustment screws.

Procedure

  1. Start By: Remove the rocker arms and the rocker shaft.
  2. Remove valve rocker arms (7) and unit injector rocker arm (2) from rocker shaft (3).
  3. Remove button (6) from adjuster screw (5) in valve rocker arm (7).
  4. Remove button (4) from adjuster screw (1) in unit injector rocker arm (2).
  5. Repeat the steps above for the remaining rocker arm assemblies.
