Procedure

  1. A. Disconnect ECM connector J1/P1, ECM connector J2/P2,and the suspect sensor connector.
  2. B. Use a suitable piece of wire to connect pin A to pin C.
  3. C. Measure the resistance between suspect sensor signal wire and the suspect sensor voltage supply
  4. D. Use a suitable piece of wire to connect pin B to pin C.
  5. E. Measure the resistance between the sensor signal wire and the sensor return line at the ECM
  6. F. Remove all wire shorts.
  7. G. Reconnect all connectors.
