Before you start
- Make sure the front axle pin is free of debris and lubricated before detensioning; failure may damage the axle, pin, or saddle.
- On early models with a crossover hose, keep the rear hose section in an oil bucket.
Procedure
- Use the short hose to connect the LH and RH tensioners together.
- Use the long hose to connect to the machine implement control valve at the rear.
- Check the front axle area for debris; lubricate the back side of the front axle pin.
- With the tractor in neutral, depress the clutch, start and run at idle.
- Move the correct implement valve lever to extend the tension cylinders fully back on both sides.
- Move the implement lever to the hold position and stop the engine.
