Before you start
- Accumulated grease and oil on an engine is a fire hazard
- Water or condensation can cause damage to generator components
Procedure
- Make sure unit is off line, locked out and tagged "Do Not Operate".
- Steam clean the engine to remove accumulated oil and grease.
- Prevent electrical components such as the alternator, starter and ECM from water damage.
