Before you start
- Keep all parts clean from contaminants.
- Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair.
- Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Procedure
- Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or for disposal.
- Use Tooling (A) to remove engine oil filter (1).
- Disconnect hose assembly (2).
- Remove bolts (4).
- Remove engine oil filter base (3) and the oil seal.
- Remove engine oil cooler (5) and the gasket.
