Procedure
- Disconnect solenoid harness; using 7/8 in. socket and extension, unscrew solenoid valve.
- Remove and discard the three rubber seal rings; remove lower ring with a seal pick if it stays in bore.
- Wash out the solenoid valve with approved cleaning solvent; clean the oil screen with a brush; dry with compressed air.
- Clean out the solenoid valve bore in the housing using clean paper towels (never rags).
- Using new solenoid seal rings coated with clean lube oil, install the upper and center seal ring on the body and the lower seal ring into the bottom of the bore.
