Before you start
- Do not allow the caliper to hang from the hose.
Procedure
- Inspect brake assembly for grooves, flaking, cracks, heat checking, thickness variation; replace components as needed.
- Install new caliper assembly; make sure the bleed screw points up.
- Remount caliper onto attaching bracket with thread locking compound on bolt threads; torque bolts to 40-50 Ft. Lbs.
- Reconnect hose to elbow adapter on back of caliper; torque to 10-12 Ft. Lbs.
- Reconnect the brake actuation system.
- Bleed and flush brake system per actuation system manual.
- Remount the wheel per wheel nut torque procedures.
