Procedure
- Stop engine and turn start switch to OFF.
- Shut off the fuel tank supply valve.
- Open drain valve to drain fuel from filter case; close.
- Remove fuel filter bowl and wash with clean diesel fuel.
- Remove fuel filter; clean the gasket sealing surface.
- Apply clean diesel fuel to the new fuel filter gasket.
- Install new filter; tighten additional 3/4 turn by hand.
- Open supply valve; start engine and check for leaks.
Specs & values
- Change element if vacuum gauge pressure is at 50 to 70 kPa (15 to 20 inches Hg)
