Before you start
- Batteries give off combustible gases which can explode
- Remove the battery cover before any servicing

Procedure
- Turn key start switch OFF; remove key and electrical loads.
- Turn OFF the battery charger; disconnect the charger.
- Disconnect NEGATIVE cable from NEGATIVE battery terminal.
- Disconnect POSITIVE cable from POSITIVE battery terminal.
- Remove the used battery.
- Install the new battery.
- Connect cable from starting motor to POSITIVE terminal.
- Connect cable from ground plane to NEGATIVE terminal.
