Caterpillar 3406 — Zinc Rod Replacement

Procedure

1. Remove and observe condition of all zinc rods
2. Tap rods lightly with hammer; replace if deteriorated or flakes apart
3. Unscrew or drill existing rod from plug base
4. Apply 9S3263 Thread Lock to internal threads holding zinc rod and install new rod
5. Coat external pipe threads with 5P3413 Pipe Sealant and install plug into raw water system
