Before you start
- Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces can cause fire.
- Do not use tool to remove fuel filter.
- Do not fill fuel filters with fuel before installing.
Procedure
- Turn fuel supply valve OFF. Place tray under filter.
- Clean outside of fuel filter assembly. Open drain valve (6) and drain fuel/water.
- Remove sediment bowl (5).
- Hold fuel filter (4), rotate quick release collar (3) counterclockwise. Remove and discard used element.
- Ensure fuel filter base clean. Push new fuel filter fully into base.
- Hold filter, fit locking ring (3), rotate clockwise to fasten.
- Clean sediment bowl, inspect O-rings, install new if necessary. Install sediment bowl to new element. Hand tighten only.
- Prime fuel system.
