Before you start
- Personal injury or death can result from high voltage.
- Accumulated grease and oil is a fire hazard.
Procedure
- Ensure electrical system OFF. Lock out starting controls and tag DO NOT OPERATE.
- Use steam cleaning to remove accumulated oil and grease.
- Avoid electrical components such as alternator, starter, and ECM.
