Before you start
- Failure to replace on regular schedule could cause severe engine damage.
- If installed incorrectly, engine may overheat causing cylinder head damage.
Procedure
- Replace before failure as preventive maintenance.
- Drain coolant to below regulator housing.
- Refer to Service Manual for replacement procedure.
- Ensure new regulator installed in original position and vent hole open.
- Do not use liquid gasket material on gasket or cylinder head surface.
