Procedure
- 13. Set Digital Multimeter to read ohms.
- 14. See Figure C4. Connect one meter test lead to Wire 11, and the other to Wire 22. Measure
- 15. See Figure C5. Connect one meter test lead to Wire 22, and the other to Wire 44. Measure
- 16. Compare results obtained in steps 14-15. Based on meter quality, readings should be approximately
- A. Yes- Move to step 17.
- B. No- Low resistance indicates a shorted stator winding, while high resistance or infinity (OL) is an
- 17. See Figure C6. Connect one meter test lead to Wire 11, and the other to a proper engine ground.

- 19. Is a reading of infinity (OL) obtained in steps 17-18?
