Procedure
- 7. Set Digital Multimeter to read DC volts.
- 8. See Figure B1. Disconnect Wire 14 at fuel solenoid. Connect positive (+) meter test lead to socket
- 9. Measure DC Volts at fuel solenoid while engine is cranking. Is voltage equal to or greater than 9.6
- A. Yes- Move to step 10.
- B. No- Move to step 15.
- 10. Remove pipe plug from fuel pressure regulator test port and install Briggs & Stratton Crankcase
- 11. Verify the fuel supply valves are open.
- 12. See Figure B2. Disconnect Wire 14 at fuel solenoid. Connect jumper wire from battery (+) to fuel
- 13. Observe manometer gauge. Is fuel pressure 11-14 inches w. c. (LP) or 3.5-7 inches w. c. (NG)?
- A. Yes- Move to Test 10: Check Fuel Pressure Regulator (step 17).
- B. No- Low fuel pressure. Repair or replace fuel delivery system. Retest.
- C. No- No fuel pressure. Install new fuel solenoid. Retest.
- 14. Connect Wire 14 at fuel solenoid.
- 15. Set Digital Multimeter to read DC volts.
- 16. See Figure B3. Connect positive (+) meter test lead to Pin 4 (Wire 14) of Connector J3. Connect
- A. Yes- Repair or replace Wire 14 between
- B. No- Install new control panel. Retest.
