Procedure

  1. 12. See Figure A4. Connect battery, and install 15 Amp fuse in control panel. Set Digital Multimeter to
  2. A. Yes- Move to Test 3: Check Trickle Charge at Battery (step 15).
  3. B. No- Move to step 13.
  4. 13. See Figure A5. Measure AC voltage on the bottom side of two transfer switch fuses. Is approximately
  5. 240 VAC present?
  6. A. Yes- Repair or replace wiring between transfer switch and generator. Retest.
  7. B. No- Move to step 14.
  8. 14. See Figure A6. Measure AC voltage on the top side of two transfer switch fuses. Is approximately
  9. 240 VAC present?
  10. A. Yes- See inset of Figure A6. Remove fuses and test for continuity. Replace open fuse(s). Retest.
  11. B. No- Repair or replace transfer switch wiring. Retest.
