Compatible — Battery Connection Safety Procedure

For these models: 10 kW, 10REOZDC, 15 kW, 15REOZDC, 20 kW, 20REOZDC.

Before you start

  • Explosion can cause severe injury or death
  • Battery short circuits can cause bodily injury and/or equipment damage
  • Disconnect the battery before generator set installation or maintenance

Procedure

  1. Remove all jewelry before servicing the equipment
  2. Use tools with insulated handles
  3. Remove the negative (-) lead first when disconnecting the battery
  4. Reconnect the negative (-) lead last when reconnecting the battery
  5. Never connect the negative (-) battery cable to a positive terminal

Tools required

  • Insulated handle tools
