Before you start

  • Keep all parts clean from contaminants - contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life

Procedure

  1. Position lock washers onto bolts
  2. Position bracket onto the flywheel housing in the position noted on removal
  3. Install bolts assemblies to the bracket, tighten the bolts to a torque of 25 N·m (221 lb in)
  4. Position fuel filter base onto bolts, install lock washers and nuts onto the bolts
  5. Tighten the nuts to a torque of 44 N·m (33 lb ft)
  6. Install fuel filter element if necessary
  7. Install new sealing washers onto banjo bolts
  8. Tighten banjo bolts to specified torques
  9. Turn the fuel supply to the ON position
  10. Remove the air from the fuel system

Specs & torque values

  • Bracket torque: 25 N·m (221 lb in)
  • Fuel filter base nuts torque: 44 N·m (33 lb ft)
  • Banjo bolt (33) torque: 17 N·m (151 lb in)
  • Banjo bolt (37) torque: 12 N·m (106 lb in)
