ASCO — Maintenance Handle Operation
Operation

Before you start
- Do not manually operate the transfer switch until both power sources are disconnected: open both normal and emergency source circuit breakers.
Procedure
- Deenergize the transfer switch and verify no electrical power at terminals with a voltmeter.
- Remove maintenance handle from clips on left side or pole cover.
- Insert handle into hole in shaft on left side of operator.
- Move handle up or down to manually operate switch to opposite position.
- Return switch to Normal position; letter N adjacent to Switch Position.
- Remove handle and store on transfer switch in clips provided.
