Procedure
- Operate engine until normal operating temperature is reached; stop engine.
- Remove drain plug from oil pan and allow oil to drain.
- Reinstall drain plug.
- Fill system with specified grade and type of lubricant to FULL mark on dipstick STOPPED or STATIC side.
- Crank engine without starting for 15 seconds.
- Start engine and allow to run approximately 5 minutes.
- Stop engine, allow several minutes for oil to drain back, recheck level and add lubricant as required.
- Inspect lubricating system for leaks.
