Allis-Chalmers — Air cleaner cartridge replacement

From a Allis-Chalmers operator's manual covering: 16000MKII, 17000MKII, 21000MKII, 25000MKII. Check it applies to your exact model before use.
Before you start
- Do not clean or reuse dirty cartridge. Do not pound in center of cartridge.
Procedure
- Loosen wing/nuts and clamps; remove moisture eliminator or precleaner.
- Insert fingers into cartridge openings and loosen all four corners by pulling straight out.
- Remove cartridge by pulling straight out and slightly up; discard dirty cartridge.
- Inspect inside of housing and remove all foreign material.
- Install new cartridge; press all edges and corners against sealing flange.
- Clean moisture eliminator or precleaner if necessary.
- Install moisture eliminator with drain holes to bottom or precleaner with dust bin to bottom.
- Tighten clamp fasteners in diagonal sequence and reset service indicator.

- Hex nut type clamp 72 lb-in (8 Nm)
- Wingnut type finger tight plus 1-1/2 to 2 turns
