The MTU 16V2000 DS1000 is a 1000 kW (1250 kVA) diesel standby generator set powered by a MTU 16V2000G16F engine. It is available at 380 V, 400 V and 415 V, 3-phase, 50 Hz and rated 3123 A. It holds about 102 L (26.9 gal) of oil and 70 L (18.5 gal) of coolant, with a maximum ambient rating of 50 °C. Starting uses 4 group-8 batteries rated 2800 CCA at 24 V. The set measures 4440×1990×2200 mm (174.8×78.3×86.6 in), weighs about 6550 kg (14440 lb) and produces 95.1 dBA at 7 m. The same 16V2000G16F engine also powers generator sets from Atlas Copco, Himoinsa and INMESOL.
