Procedures
3To Adjust the Output Voltage adjustment
Tools: AC volt meter
- Connect an accurate AC volt meter across L1 and L2 while the generator set is running
- With Output Volts selected on the Adjustments Menu screen, press the up or down arrow button to adjust the voltage
- The control allows an adjustment of 240 VAC ± 7% (17 VAC)
- Press the BACK button to save the settings and return to the home screen
Changing Engine Oil and Oil Filter maintenance
⚠ Used engine oil can cause cancer or reproductive toxicity; avoid skin contact and breathing of vapors
- Run the generator set until warm, shut down and place pan under end of oil drain hose
- Make sure oil drain hose is connected to drain valve; open drain valve; reclose when oil stops draining
- Spin off the oil filter canister and clean the filter mounting surface; remove old gasket if it remains
- Apply thin film of clean oil to new filter gasket; spin new filter on until gasket touches block, then turn additional 1/2 to 3/4 turn
- Refill with 67 oz (2 liters) of oil
- Start and run for 30 seconds
- Shut engine off and wait 5 minutes
- Add more oil slowly to bring oil level to the FULL mark on dipstick
- Dispose of used oil and oil filter according to local environmental regulations
Replacing the Air Filter Element maintenance
⚠ Disconnect negative battery cable before working on the generator set to prevent starting
- Move Switch (S2) to Stop position, disconnect remote harness (P7), remove negative battery cable to prevent starting
- Remove the outer and inner cover and reassemble with a new air filter element
- Make sure the outer cover is seated before tightening its wing nut
