How to read your Kohler engine serial & model number →

• Power unit runs but will not pump oil
  Cause: Power unit is not primed
  Fix: Run power unit a few minutes tipping from side to side Externally adjustable relief valve is not correctly set Reset the relief valve to appropriate level
• Power unit reservoir too full
  Fix: Drain fluid to correct level
• Power unit oil is overheating
  Cause: Oil viscosity is too high
  Fix: Refer to 6.3 – Changing Hydraulic Fluid Refill with a good quality hydraulic oil
• Power unit does not reach rated capacity
  Cause: Low fluid level in reservoir
  Fix: Secure load by other means Depressurise power unit and hose, remove application, then fill and bleed the system
• Poor performance
  Cause: Fluid level in power unit is low
  Fix: Secure load by other means
• Noisy operation
  Cause: Air trapped in system
  Fix: Check all points where air may leak into the system Refer to 6.2 – Bleeding Air from the System
• Low fluid level in power unit reservoir
  Fix: Refer to 6.1 – Adding Hydraulic Fluid Fill and bleed the system
• Leaking system components
  Fix: Repair or replace as necessary
• High pressure leakage on upper pressure plate
  Fix: Tighten plug
• Defective control valve
  Fix: Send to a Durapac authorised service centre for repair
• Damaged o-ring
  Fix: Send to a Durapac authorised service centre for repair
