Procedures

Entering Machine ID for WEDGE Control Systems adjustment

⚠ Machine must not be operating while setting machine ID.

Examine data plate and locate machine ID from Machine Models List.
Disconnect fuel level sensor if equipped.
Turn ignition switch ON; machine must not be operating.
Toggle data input switch until 9 appears and read machine ID.
If incorrect, toggle to 19 and hold until 20 appears.
Continue holding; current ID appears, then hold 9 more seconds until blinking '-'.
Release switch; toggle from 0 to the correct machine ID.
Wait approximately 10 seconds for controller reset.
Toggle to diagnostic number 9 to verify the ID.
Reconnect fuel level sensor.

Reading and Setting Display Units adjustment

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Press and hold the Service Air switch.
Turn ignition switch directly to the crank position.
Hold switches until the numeric display goes blank.
Release Service Air switch and release ignition switch to ON.
Read current units shown for 2 seconds.
To change, press and release Service Air until desired units appear.
Keep Service Air pressed until WEDGE restarts to save selection.
Release Service Air switch.
Cycle power using ignition switch.

Deutsch DRC Series Connector Service (Contact Insertion/Removal) repair

⚠ Do not twist or insert extractor tool at an angle.

Tools: Extractor tool, Needle nose pliers

Contact Insertion: Grasp contact about 1.00 in (25.4 mm) behind the crimp barrel.
Hold connector with rear grommet facing you.
Push contact straight into grommet until positive stop; slight tug confirms lock.
Contact Removal: Snap correct size extractor tool over the contact wire.
Slide tool into insert cavity until it engages contact and resistance felt; do not twist.
Pull contact-wire assembly out of connector.
